About Sam

A writer first, singer never.

Sam Gaw Music is a project by a songwriter who grew up listening to all genres of music from the 70's-90's. He writes the kind of songs that feel like they've always existed, like you remember them from somewhere even when you don't.

Raised in Indiana with deep roots in Tennessee who now lives in Florida farm country. Shaped by long drives and late nights, his songs are small films: a porch light left on, a name half-spoken, a town you swore you'd leave.

"The best songs aren't written. They're overheard."

The Music

Stories set to six strings.

The aim is always the same: songs that breathe, lyrics that land. Inspiration comes from all over the place at any given time. That's why I write in a lot of different genres.
